DIY FENCE MOUNTED SOLAR PANELS
THE STORY SO FAR
I will in future provide links to all YouTube videos relevant to my Fence Solar Power Project but for the moment I am concentrating on fulfilling my promise to provide all relevant drawings and links for the various material used. I will also be able to provide technical assistance via this website as it will be much easier than via the comments section of Youtube. The drawings are available for download now via the File Share Page.

So the intent of the project was to remove a Red Robin (Photinia) hedge that had grown to tall, too wide and the stems had become like tree trunks so I guess I should have kept on top of it and not let it reach this unmanageable size. I should also have looked closer at the fence and in particular the fence supports because I assumed that they were all concrete and I assumed that they were all straight I could not have been more wrong. You can view my videos for each stage of the project by clicking on the relevant graphic below and they are in date order with the latest offerings at the top.

That we have achieved is replacing a high maintenance hedge with a source of power and personally I like the way it looks although many have commented that we should paint the surround black of dark grey so that it is less evident. I think I will be taking that advice and I will of course share the results with you.
